Services Provided:

 

  • Primary Care Services for Veterans in Fulton and Montgomery Counties.
  • Behavioral Health Care: A behavioral health care team consisting of social workers, psychiatrists, a psychiatric nurse, and visiting counselors from the Albany VA Medical Center, provide medications, individual and group psychotherapy for veterans experiencing personal and emotional problems, including drug and alcohol problems.
  • Smoking Cessation: The Clinic offers the QuitSmart® smoking cessation program — an innovative service that combines the best of behavioral and medication treatments in a group format.
  • Personal Care: A health care team consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and clerical staff provide primary care services at the clinic, stressing health maintenance and preventative medicine.
  • Laboratory: Blood drawing.
  • Prescriptions: Routine prescription processed through the mail.

Services Provided:
Counsels veterans, departments, and beneficiaries regarding various benefits, gives advice on claims and processes claims for benefits, assists veterans in matters pertaining to employment, civil service, NYS Blind Annuity, social service programs, real property tax exemptions, also assists veterans with transportation to VA Medical Center in Albany.

Services Provided:

  • Primary Care: The primary care program provides services at this facility as well as in 11 community-based outpatient clinics.
  • Specialized Services: The Stratton VA Medical Center provides specialized medical services such as: cardiac catheterization, cardiac rehabilitation, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, hospice/ palliative care, adult day health care, post-traumatic stress disorder, compensated work therapy, memory clinic, geriatric assessment, nursing home and respite care.
  • Services for Women: We offer a Women Veteran’s Health Program that addresses a variety of health care needs specific to women veterans. Services include gynecology, bone density screening and on-site mammography.
  • Lab and Radiology: There is also extensive diagnostic laboratory medicine and radiology including computerized tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging.
